17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

MFM Devotional For Today 2024 MESSAGE:
The Scripture tells us that wisdom is the principal thing. In other words, wisdom is the most essential thing we need to excel in life. It is the foundation of all great works and the key difference between failure and success. Wisdom brings dignity, honor, and sustains them. If you examine a person whose work counts for eternity, you will find wisdom at the core of their success. But what exactly is wisdom?
Wisdom is a spirit. It is also the virtue that manifests excellence. Wisdom is one of the seven Spirits of God, and it reflects the excellence inherent in God’s nature. Our God is the wisest in judgment, and wisdom is the hallmark of His personality. In today’s Fire Scripture, the apostle Paul recognized the importance of wisdom. After hearing of the believers’ fervent faith, he continuously prayed and gave thanks for them, asking God to grant them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. He prayed that their eyes of understanding would be enlightened.
There is a need for both you and I to have our eyes enlightened. There are numerous opportunities around us, placed by God, to transform our lives. But many people miss these opportunities because their spiritual eyes are closed. May the wisdom of God open your eyes to recognize and seize the opportunities surrounding you, in Jesus’ name.
Leadership requires wisdom. To lead others effectively, you must first learn to lead yourself. The Scriptures tell us about Joshua, who gained the respect and obedience of the Israelites after Moses laid hands on him, filling him with the spirit of wisdom (Deuteronomy 34:9). It is wisdom that enables a leader to command respect. I pray that the spirit of wisdom will fill you afresh and empower you to lead effectively, in Jesus’ name.

- By the operations of the spirit of wisdom, O Lord, bring me out of obscurity into the limelight, in the name of Jesus.
- Spirit of wisdom from above, manifest Yourself in my life and distinguish me among men, in the name of Jesus.
